Video-to-Prompt Observation Sheet
When reverse-engineering a short video, describe what can be observed before guessing how it was made. Capture each layer separately:
- Subject and action
- Who or what is visible, and what changes during the shot?
- Environment
- Location, time of day, weather, background elements, and practical light sources.
- Camera
- Shot size, angle, lens feel, movement, speed, and focus behavior.
- Lighting and color
- Direction, softness, contrast, palette, exposure, and atmosphere.
- Timing
- Approximate duration, motion beats, transitions, and ending state.
- Constraints
- Aspect ratio, unwanted objects, continuity requirements, and negative prompt terms.
Convert observations
ShotToPrompt analyzes a video shot and helps turn visible details into a structured prompt that can be refined for a generation workflow.
